RECALL!!!
This just in...Just when I thought I was making progress...I got a call telling me that the bedding I had ordered was sold out. Two steps forward and one step back. I was disappointed because I had been looking for bedding for a while now. In the grand scheme of things, it is just bedding...my search continues. I will keep you posted!

25 Weeks, Where are the Days Going?

THE BED

The last few weeks have been good ones. Last week we had our 24 week appointment. All went well. BW (Baby Will) is doing great. His heart was beating away at 163 bmp and he is a happy little baby. (that is what the doctor kept saying) I am feeling him move around more and more each day and the movements still catch me off guard. I am always amazed at the wonderful gift God has blessed us with moving and growing inside me. Jeremy and I found the crib over the weekend at Nebraska Furniture and I am so excited for it to be delivered. I also found the crib bedding this last weekend. Progress is being made, slowly but surely. I suppose there is a reason that we have 9 months to prepare for this little bundle. My summer class ends this week, July 30, and I am thankful for a much needed break from school. My family has scheduled my first baby shower August 29 and I can’t wait. I am really looking forward to seeing friends and family and celebrate the coming of BW.
Here is what is going on with BW this week:
Head to heels, BW now measures about 13 1/2 inches. His weight — a pound and a half, about the size and weight of an egg plant. He’s beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he'll start to look more and more like a newborn. He’s also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.
We will be painting the nursery soon. On our to-do lists includes daycare, child birth class, and narrowing down the name. We are taking suggestions! We are so thankful for our supportive families and friends and thank you so much for following along with us on this amazing journey that God has set for us. Stay tuned for more updates soon.

23 Week and Looking Prego!
I am now up to 23 weeks and feeling more pregnant each day. The last three weeks have gone by quickly and have also brought along some changes for me. I am feeling Baby Will move more and more each day and Jeremy actually has had the chance to feel a few kicks in the last weeks. That is the greatest feeling to share with him. On the down side I have not been sleeping so well. Serious pain in my hips during the night keep me tossing and turning and just this last week I have had some lower abdomen pains that I can't seem to kick. I really did not want to be the nagging new mom, but let's face it, if you know me...that is exactly who I am. So yes, I have called my doctors office 3 times in the last week! I know! Good thing is all of my pains and discomforts are part of this joyous process of making a baby, so I should not complain. We are currently working on getting the baby furniture ordered, baby bedding ordered, and updating our registry. We still have not decided on a name, set our date for child birth class, or talked to any child care providers. This list seems endless. I have about 2 more weeks of school left and I cannot wait for those last 2 weeks to get over! Our summer has been busy and I can't believe that we are in the middle of July already. It is as hot as I imagined it would be, but I have not been suffering too bad. No complaints yet.
Here is what is going on with Baby Will this week:
Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With his sense of movement well developed by now, Baby Will can feel you dance. And now that he's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see him squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing him for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when he hears them outside the womb.
Well, I guess that is it for now! Look for more updates in a few weeks!
